In a world broken by sin, and filled with people who are broken by sin, it might seem attractive for us to call on God to come down here in power and justice and destroy all our enemies and all those who sin against him. And yet, what we really needed was for God to come down in weakness and humility, in grace and mercy–so that he could come and save us eternally!
