Wholly, Wholly Holy
Are you a good person? We want to say yes, and to defend our answer, we come up with lists of all the good things we do, and all the bad things we avoid. But is that enough? Today, Jesus shows us that the more important question is, "Are you a Holy person?" Some might look at commands like "Do not murder" or "Do not commit adultery" and think they can pull those off. But in reality, Jesus says that holiness is needed in our thoughts, words, actions, and attitudes! So, can anyone claim to be holy? And if we can't, is everything hopeless?
