What We Believe

There is only one true God, who has always existed as Father, Son, and Spirit—the Triune God. Our words cannot adequately describe Him, but He is sovereign, He is love, He is holy and fully deserving of our worship.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 29:19; John 5:23; Genesis 1:1; 1 John 2:2; Romans15:13

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God, was born of the virgin Mary, sinless, died on the cross to redeem us from our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day, reigns as our Lord, and is coming again.
1 John 5:20; Matthew 1:23; Ephesians 1:7; Galatians 3:13; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 1:4; Acts 10:42

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is true God equal to God the Father and God the Son. He creates faith in our hearts through the gospel. He also keeps us in the faith and motivates us to do good works.
Acts 5:3; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Psalm 139:7,8; Job 33:4; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 3:16; Galatians 5:24,25

The Bible

The Bible is the true Word of God. It is inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the standard by which we should live our lives.
2 Peter 1:21; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:15; Luke 11:28; John 5:39

The Church

There is one holy, Christian Church. It is made up of all who believe in Jesus.
Colossians 1:15–18; Acts 20:28; Matthew 16:18; 2 Timothy 2:19; John 8:31,32

God wants all men and women to be saved by his grace, according to their faith as prescribed in his Word. We believe that anyone can be saved through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God, and cannot be earned through our efforts.
Ephesians 2:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Romans 3:22–24; Romans 3:28; Acts 4:11–12; 1 Timothy 2:3–4; Acts 2:36–38
Victory believes the Biblical teaching that in communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins.
Victory believes the Biblical teaching that a person professes unity in faith with the people with whom they commune. For this reason we ask you to speak with our pastor and consider church membership before coming to Holy Communion.
If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of communion, and if you have publicly agreed with our confession of faith, please feel free to commune. You may use the “Questions for Communion Preparation” resource to prepare your heart and mind to receive this wonderful gift.
Matthew 26:26–27, 1 Corinthians 10:17, 1 Corinthians 11:28–29
