    “You’re Dead to Me!”
How often do you think about baptism? Maybe when a baptism is taking place, or on the anniversary of your baptism. But what about the other days? As we explore what baptism is and does, we'll see that baptism--both Jesus' baptism and ours-- are worth remembering and applying to our lives every moment of every day!

When God Says All, He Means All
When the angels proclaimed Jesus' birth to the shepherds on Christmas, they said it was good news that would cause great joy for ALL the people! As we celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord and the visit of the Gentile Magi or Wise Men, it's a reminder that the Gospel message is truly for all people, including you, and me, and everyone we meet!

    Peace In, Peace Out
On Christmas, the angels proclaimed that because Jesus was born, there would be "peace on earth." But when we look at the world and in our own lives, we might find a surprising lack of peace! Where's the peace the angels were singing about? And if there is such peace, what does it mean for our daily lives?

    Good News of Great Joy
In a world filled with bad news, we're starved for some good news. That's why Christmas is such a life and eternity changing event! Because as the angels proclaimed to the shepherds on that first Christmas, there's good news that causes great joy for all people: our Savior has been born! In the sermon, Pastor Troy explores God's promise of the Sign of Immanuel from Isaiah's prophecy, and how that promise is fulfilled at Christmas.

    Rejoice ALWAYS!
In his letter to the Christians in Thessalonica, Paul tells us to "Rejoice always," and "Give thanks in all circumstances." Is that even possible? We all have circumstances in our lives that make "rejoicing always" seem like a ridiculous concept. But Paul assures us that we truly can rejoice always, because the source of our joy isn't found in the daily circumstances of our lives, but in an unchanging, unshakeable reality that is outside of our circumstances!

    Hearing Voices in Advent
There are so many voices competing for our attention during this time of year. So much so, that the "Happy Holidays" can feel more like a deafening roar! And yet, to be fully prepared for the coming of our King, we need to hear certain voices during Advent. Voices that can give us peace, calm, comfort, and perspective like no other!

    Come and Save Us!
In a world broken by sin, and filled with people who are broken by sin, it might seem attractive for us to call on God to come down here in power and justice and destroy all our enemies and all those who sin against him. And yet, what we really needed was for God to come down in weakness and humility, in grace and mercy--so that he could come and save us eternally!

The End Is Near… So Have Hope!
For most people, the idea of Judgment Day fills their hearts with fear and despair. But for us as Christians, the thought of the End, when Jesus comes again, can fill our hearts with a sure and certain hope that persists through all the different pain, suffering, and loss of this life!

    Big Forgiving Produces Big Thanksgiving
When you realize how undeserving you are to receive something, actually receiving it will make you that much more thankful for the gift! That was true for Jean Valjean, but it's extra true for us on Thanksgiving, as we reflect on all of the undeserved blessings God has poured out in our lives--most importantly, the forgiveness of sins and salvation that is ours through Jesus!
